The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) is an Australian not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. The education and research activities of RCPA are registered as a charity with the Australian Charities & Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC).

The RCPAQAP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RCPA. The RCPAQAP operates as an independent self-sustaining organisation and is expected to demonstrate a high level of customer service. Any funds that are surplus to business needs are donated or paid as dividends to RCPA to further its educational and research aims.
