Non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM)
Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) are categorised into slow-growing and rapid-growing, and both cause acute and chronic disease in immunocompromised and immunocompetent individuals. Accurate and timely diagnosis of these pathogens is necessary to limit the progression of pulmonary disease, lymphadenitis, cutaneous disease, and life-threatening disseminated disease in patients.
