We invite you to the First Parasitology Get-Together Workshop organised by RCPAQAP Microbiology, which will take place in our office in St Leonards on 25th October 2019.
The aim of this workshop is to review laboratory procedures designed to detect parasites within clinical specimens by using morphological criteria.
In addition, it will explore the potential for virtual microscopy as a means of identifying certain parasites and review its role in proficiency testing and training. As this technology has only recently been introduced, hands-on training with this technology will be included in the session.
The workshop will focus on:
– Identification of protozoa
– Identification of helminths
– Identification of parasites by molecular methods
– Scientists and technical officers working involved in the diagnosis of parasites
– Early career professionals
– Trainees in parasitology
We will be providing access to virtual images for this workshop using Sectra UniView.
Please bring a suitable computing device (laptop or tablet) that can connect to a WiFi network and uses a modern web browser.
Most newer laptop computers, including iPad’s, meet these requirements. You can test your device before the workshop by clicking here
